PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting method capable of making a cooling speed of a molten metal poured into a feeding head slower than the cooling speed of a molten metal filled in a cavity by forming a feeding head of a casting mold as small as possible so as to enable to provide easily a difference in the cooling speeds. SOLUTION: In casting a desired shaped molding by pouring the molten metal of aluminum or its alloy into a cavity 12b of a casting mold 12, the molten metal and a reductional compound are brought into contact in the cavity 12b of the casting mold 12 to conduct casting while reducing an oxide film formed on the surface of the molten metal, and as the casting mold 12 the casting mold is used so that the feeding head 16 is formed between a pouring gate 12a for pouring the molten metal and the cavity 12b, and the heat insulation property of the feeding head is higher than that of the cavity 12b so that the cooling speed of the molten metal poured into the feeding head 16 becomes slower than that of the molten metal filled into the cavity 12b. When the molten metal poured into the cavity 12b of the casting mold 12 is solidified and contracted, at least a part of the molten metal of the feeding head is made to flow into the cavity 12b to replenish. |
