<p>1362201 Valves; hydraulic dampers GIRLING Ltd 1 Dec 1971 [14 Dec 1970] 59376/70 Headings F2V and F2S A piston valve for a telescopic hydraulic damper comprises an annular flexible valve member 11 normally abutting a seat 3 and a seat 6, and a central member 5 having axially extending flow passages 10. Flow of fluid is relatively unrestricted when flowing in one direction through the seat 3 but restricted when flowing in the other direction through seat 6. Movement of the inner periphery of the valve member does not reduce the cross-sectional area of the flow passages 10. The central guide member 5 and flange 9 may be formed integrally with the piston (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown).</p> |
