<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printer head in which a good distortion-free image can be formed by correcting the orientation of the optical axis of a rod lens array easily. SOLUTION: A housing 5 fixed with a rod lens array 4 and a supporting plate 7, respectively, above and below a head substrate 1 mounting an array of light emitting element chips 2, a reference face 5a provided below the housing 5 abuts against the upper surface of the head substrate 1 on the opposite sides of the array of light emitting element chips 2, and the head substrate 1 and the supporting plate 7 are held integrally by a clamping means 10. In such an optical printer head, the supporting plate 7 located in a region directly below the reference face 5a is provided with a plurality of screw holes 7a into which adjusting screws 9 are screwed. Orientation of the optical axis of the rod lens array 4 is varied while abutting the reference face 5a against the upper surface of the head substrate by adjusting the adjusting screws 9.</p> |
