PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink agitating device of simple structure to agitate ink stored in an ink pot of a printer. SOLUTION: The device comprises an endless chain having an upper running part 64' and a lower running part 64" extending in a cross direction of an ink pot, a slider removable in the same cross direction, an ink agitating member attached to the slider, a rotating member attached to the slider and rotatable on one axis line 85, a sprocket for movement 76 which is fixed to the rotating member and has an axis line 80 in parallel and shifted at an prescribed interval with the axis line 85, and a structure to block an rotation of the rotating member when it is at a first and a second rotation angle positions. The sprocket for movement is designed to be engaged with the upper running part 64' when the rotating member is at the first rotation angle position, and to be engaged with the lower running part 64" when the rotating member is at the second rotation angle position. |
