<p>Door locking apparatus including electrically operated lock mounted in door surround structure and electrically operable to thrust lock bolt into recess in door. Door carries lock over-ride mechanism manually operable from one side of the door to push lock bolt from recess in event of power failure to allow emergency exit. Over-ride mechanism may be interconnected with conventional latch mechanism on door such that latch is operable from both sides of doors to control entry and exit when electrically operated lock is switched off during periods when security not necessary.</p> |
