The steel matting for concrete reinforcement is made up from two or more lattice meshes hung into each other and mutually displaceable in one plane, each comprising interconnected lengthways and transverse bars. One bar, at least, in one mesh is limited in its movement capacity, to a set extent of free play, by a bar, or more than one, in another mesh. One such bar in one mesh can be led through two loops, on different bars in another mesh set across the line of movement; or through two bars in the same direction in another mesh.
