PURPOSE:To obtain a titled contamination preventing liquid which prevents a protein from adhering onto the surface of a lens by adjusting pH of preservative liquid for contact lens to acidic. CONSTITUTION:Water-soluble carboxylic acids consisting of citric acid, malic acid and malonic acid, etc. and buffer soln. consisting of an Na salt of the used acid are added to preservative liquid which consists of the physiological saline soln. contg. antispetics, chelating agent, surface-active agent and hydrogen bond breaking agent, etc. for contact lens to adjust pH to 4.8-5.9 range. Thereby, this treatments prevent a protein from adhering to the surface of the water- containing lens due to heat degeneration by boiling treatment and prevent cloudiness of the lens by repeated boiling. |
