<p>PURPOSE:To retain the read end of a form differing in size securely without shifting a retaining member, by nearly channel-shaping the plane part of the read-end retaining member. CONSTITUTION:A form retaining device is equipped with a form front-end retainer 1 and a form rear-end retainer 2. The front-end retainer 1 has a retaining member 1c which extends on the surface of a rotary drum 10 in its axis- direction, and the read-end retainer 2 has a retaining member 2b which extends on the surface of the drum 10 in its axis-direction. The plane part of the retaining member 2b for retaining the read end of a form differing in size is nearly channel-shaped and a part 2b'' mainly pressing only the side edge of the end part of a wide form is provided. Consequently, only the read-end side edge of a form 20 of A4 size is retained by a part 2b' without shifting the retaining member 2b in position, and the rear-end side edge of a form 30 of letter size is mainly retained by the part 2b''.</p> |
