PURPOSE:To obtain a stable visible image by setting the quantity of charging of toner on a toner to a prescribed value, and using the charge to attract the toner to an image part. CONSTITUTION:Toner 2 sticking to a nonmagnetic cylinder 2 moves as shown by an arrow A through the operation of its revoling magnetic field, and is averaged to thin thickness by a blade 5 and also charged by friction. The material of the blade 5 is so selected that the toner 2 is charged negatively by friction, and the quantity of the charging is set in the range of 0.1-1.0muc/gr. When the toner 2 moves on the cylinder 3 and reaches the top of the cylinder 3, a development part 7 formed between the toner and an opposing electromagnetic latent-image holder 6 with about 0.3-0.5mm. gap performs development by moving the toner 2 on the cylinder 3 in accordance with a latent image formed on the holder 6, to obtain a visible image. |
