A lever tumbler lock for opening and locking using a key or a handle. The lock contains a lock chamber 2, at least one lever tumbler 4 which can be lifted between a locking position and a free position, and a bolt or auxiliary bolt 6 which can be slid between open position and locking position and one bolt unit 20, which is connected to the auxiliary bolt 6, where the handle contains a rotatably-geared handle peg 30 with a double-sided handle piece 32. While acted on by edge parts 37, 38 situated on either side of the handle peg 30, in a resting position, the handle piece 32 can be shifted against the handle peg's 30 axle direction. A unit 42 is arranged to hold the handle piece 32 against being shifted when the handle piece 32 is turned from the resting position. The handle piece 32 is in one disconnection position, separate from the resting position, unavailable for shifting against the bolt edge parts 37, 38 and blocked in the bolt's 6 locking position against return rotation to the resting position where the lock can only be opened by using the key. <IMAGE> |
