PURPOSE:To enable to simultaneously use two kinds of ink ribbons different in thickness of bases by employing a pair of ink ribbon spools of two stages coupled by magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:When a drive unit 7 is rotated, an ink ribbon spool 2 is forcibly rotated, and an ink ribbon spool 1 is rotated by the attracting force of a magnet. When ink ribbons 5, 6 are wound on the spools 1, 2, other spools 1', 2' are rotated by the tensions of the ink ribbons 5, 6, thereby feeding out the ribbons. The tension of the ink ribbon becomes stronger at the side having thick thickness of the base of the ink ribbon, and becomes weaker at the side having thinner thickness. Accordingly, when the ribbon having thicker base is wound on the spools 1, 2' of upper stage, the spools 1, 2 and 1', 2' are slightly slipped since the spools 1, 2 and 1', 2' are slightly slipped since the spools 1, 2 and 1', 2' of upper and lower stages are not integral but are coupled magnetically with each other, thereby causing the displacement in the rotation and enabling to maintain the blance in the tensions. |
