PURPOSE:To obtain a compact mold, in an injection molding machine which operates two dies alternately, by giving a guide function to the operating cylinder of a mold clamping mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In an injection molding machine of the die reciprocating type wherein an upper die holder 54 (vertically movable) an upper die 52 is fixed to and a lower die holder 38 (fixed) a lower die 56 is fixed to are connected by a die operating device to form a die set 50, this die set is arranged so that it can slide by an oil hydraulic cylinder 40 laterally on guide rails 36, 46, and combines with another die set 80 made up in the similar way and these two die sets 50, 80 are brought alternately under a main die clamping device 20 to carry out injection molding, the die operating device of the die set 50 is composed of an oil hydrauic cylinder 60 fixed firmly to the upper die holder 54, a piston rod 62 fixed firmly to the lower die holder 38 and a cylinder pipe 64 fixed to the holder 38 and guided by the pipe 64 (the die set 80 also is made up in the similar structure). |
