PURPOSE:To attain optional selection of magnification by extracting an envelope from a quantizing signal, sampling the line in a prescribed sampling frequency and obtaining a picture display signal. CONSTITUTION:The envelope regarded as an analog signal including infinite information as to incident light to an image sensor is extracted from a quantized signal of the image sensor by an envelope extracting circuit 3. This envelope signal is applied to each non-inverting input of comparators C1-C4 of an A/D converting circuit 4, the level is compared respectively with reference values Vref1-Vref4, and when the signal is larger than a reference value, a signal of logical ''1'' is generated and when smaller, a signal of logical ''0'' is generated. The logical output of the comparators C1-C4 is latched by a sampling frequency in response to a desired magnification by flip-flops FF1-FF4, and a picture signal displayed digitally by a binary signal, that is the picture signal with the desired magnification is outputted from the output terminal. |
