PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of a signal quality due to a line error by substituting a decoded signal, which is obtained by decoding a code including unrecoverable errors, with a well matchable waveform. CONSTITUTION:In case that redundant bits are added to an encoded signal, an error correction encoding circuit 3 generates and transmits a code block where uncorrectable errors can be detected. If the code block inputted to a reception terminal 9 includes errors in such degree that errors can be corrected, the code block is led to a decoding circuit 11 after error correction in an error correcting circuit 10 and is decoded to the original signal. Meanwhile, if the code block includes errors so much that errors cannot be corrected by the error correcting circuit 10, an error detecting circuit 14 detects this state to control a waveform processing circuit. |
