PURPOSE:To process many negative type PS plate and positive type PS plate in common by one unit of automatic developing machine by stopping supply of developer in either of two developing sections at the time of developing process. CONSTITUTION:The first developing section A consists of a pair of carrying rollers 1, 2, a spit roller 9, a receiving roller 14, a brushing roller 12, a pair of squeezing rollers 6, a solution supply nozzle 16, a developer supply pump 22 and a developing tank 19, and supplies the first developer sent by the pump 22 from the supply nozzle to carried PS plates. The surface of the photosensitive layer is rubbed by the brushing roller 12, and the first developer is squeezed by the pair of squeezing rollers 6, and the prints are sent to next process. The second developing section B is constituted similar to the first developing section A. The PS plate that passed through the first developing section A and the second developing section B and developed are washed sufficiently with water in a washing section C. A discriminating sensor 30 having a reflection concentration measuring device for discriminating category is provided at the insertion port of the PS plates, and one of developer supply pumps 22, 23 is operated by signals sent out from a discriminating circuit 31. |
