PURPOSE:To obtain the titled carrier having an excellent abrasion resistance, without injuring a strong preventing effect against spending of a silicone resin toner by using the carbon black which is treated a surface thereof with a specific substance as an additive. CONSTITUTION:In the titled carrier which is coated the surface thereof with the silicone resin contg. an additive, the additive is the carbon black which is treated the surface thereof with one or more of a substance selected from the group comprising an aminosilane coupling agent, a silane coupling agent, a mercapto modified silicone oil and an amine modified silicone oil. The solution of forming the coating layer is prepared from the silicone resin which adds the carbon black treated the surface thereof. The obtd. solution has a less tendency for inducing the aggregation of the carbon black on standing, and even if after standing, the coating solution gives the same characteristics to that of the coating solution newly prepared. The coating solution does not give any change to the coating layer, and the electrostatic charge amount of the coating layer does not depress, even if after repeating uses. |
