PURPOSE:To facilitate a setting of a recording paper and to conduct a sharp cutting of the recording paper, by a method wherein a paper cutter of movable constitution is so disposed as the overlap on a platen. CONSTITUTION:In setting of a recording paper; pulling of an operation member 7 toward this side moves a slide board 41 to the this side of a desk computer, and allows a paper cutter 8 to travel to a position which is free from the interference with a platen 27. Travel of the slide board 41 disengages an arm 45 from a projection 12 on the platen 27, thus opening the platen 27 forced by a coil spring 29 together with a platen cover 9. In this condition, a roll recording paper can be set to a holder without difficulty. In cutting of the recording paper; the recording paper is pressed down with high pressure against the inner surface of the platen 27 while being bent at an acute angle at a knife edge portion, which realizes a sharp cutting. |
