PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifically detecting Ganoderma boninense which is the pathogenic fungus of Elaeis guineensis. SOLUTION: This method for identifying or detecting the Ganoderma boninense, comprising performing a PCR reaction using the chromosomal DNA of a test target microorganism as a template in the presence of a primer corresponding to the base sequence of a region specific to the Ganoderma boninense among the base sequence of the ITS region of a Ganoderma boninense rDNA gene group.
