NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R<1> is H or amino- protecting group; R<2> is H, salt-forming cation or carboxylic acid-protecting group; R<3> is (substituted) phenyl or (substituted) heterocyclic provided that when R<3> is (substituted) heterocyclic, methylene group substituted in 3-position of cephalosporin skeleton forms C-C bond with C atom of the heterocyclic skeleton) or salt thereof. EXAMPLE:(Z)-7-[2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-chloromethylene] acetamide-3-(4-hydro- xyphenyl)methyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid trifluoroacetic acid salt. USE:An antibacterium agent against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. PREPARATION:The compound expressed by formula I is obtained by reacting a compound (reactive derivative) expressed by formula II or salt thereof with a compound (reactive derivative) expressed by formula III or salts thereof.
