The invention relates to an element for fixing or adhesive attachment, in particular in the form of tapes, platelets or plates, and to the process for production of such elements and to their application for marking and indicating with the aid of such elements. This element is characterised by a layer of microcells, the active side of which is adhesive. By the effect of heat and pressure, this adhesive side receives a treatment which crushes or compresses the microcells and forms suction cups, the intermediate walls of which are reinforced at the surface. Application of the invention relates to fixing elements for providing display boards, advertising elements, etc.
