The compressor (1) and its driving motor (11) of an industrial or commercial refrigerator, are enclosed in an hermetically sealed housing (2). The motor is mounted in an inner housing which consists of a cylindrical part (3), a bearing housing (4), a bearing cover (5) and an eccentric shaft (6) which drives the oil pump (7) mounted in the sump (19). The cooling oil is supplied first to the upper region (12) of the motor windings and then to the lower region (20). The oil flows into the lower cylindrical part (3) and then through holes (17) into the sump (19). The lower edges of these holes are higher than the lowest part of the windings (20) so that these lower parts are immersed in the cooling oil. USE - Industrial and commercial refrigerators.
