The flow control device comprises a body (13) housed in the bore (2, 5) of the assembly head (1) and a flow-restricting member (12) housed in the sodium passage channel (4) in the assembly head (1). The body (13) comprises means for axial locking (30) in the assembly head which can be manoeuvred by a sliding block (20) actuated by an assembly handling machine (9). The flow of coolant fluid circulating in the assembly can be easily adapted to the operating regime of the assembly.
