PURPOSE: To prevent a clip from coming off and secure the hole of a tensioner in place with ease and correctness by providing an elastic connecting device etc., to be engaged with a motion transmission device termination tool in a motion transmission apparatus such as a drive belt assembly. CONSTITUTION: To assemble a drive system, first of all, an internal puncher 32 is placed on a proper fixing tool, and both ends of a drive belt 26 are engaged with a belt clip 34 so that a plurality of teeth 28 at a belt end are engaged with the narrow hole 40 of the belt clip 34. In the next step, a finger 48 is bent to the side 30 of the drive belt 26. Then, the belt clip 34 is separated by a means to cut the belt clip 34 along a line 50, and a connection section, that is, a neck 36 is removed. After that, the two ends of the drive belt 26 are interconnected by a tensioner such as a spring with a hook end engaging with the opening 44 of a part 42 in the belt clip 34. This operation provides a drive system in a printer including the drive belt 26 with the teeth 28 engaging with a gear and other elements. |
