PURPOSE:To improve operability in the exchanging of a developer used on a cleaning device, without making a device large. CONSTITUTION:A toner hopper part 101a and a developer hopper part 1O1b are formed on a hopper 101, and replenishing rollers 108 and 107 to a developing unit 100 are provided on the lower part openings of each hopper part, respectively. A cartridge 500 housing toner and the developer in separate housing parts is mounted on the opening on the hopper, and the toner and developer are replenished into each hopper part. First, the developer is thrown away from the cleaning device into a recovery tank 117, a recycle screw 113 inside a recovery pipe 114, for reusing the toner recovered by the cleaning device is reversely rotated, next, the developer under using is sent from the developing unit into the cleaning device, and then, the developer is replenished from the developer hopper part into the developing unit. Thus, the exchanging of the developer is carried out. |
