PURPOSE:To obtain a spirally braided yarn hose which has a structure in which the fibrous reinforcing layer is spirally braided, does not suffer from partial strike-through (called yarn penetration) of the fibrous reinforcing layer into the inner tube, and is applicable to a pressure hose. CONSTITUTION:A composition for the inner tube rubber of a spirally braided yarn hose comprising a butyl rubber of an average degree of partial cross- linking of 10% or above and a vulcanizer for the butyl rubber and having a viscosity of 10kPa.sec or above when measured under conditions of a temperature of about 100-160 deg.C and a shear rate of 0.1-10sec<-1>, a spirally braided yarn hose essentially consisting of an inner tube 1 and a spirally braided fibrous reinforcing layer 6, wherein the inner tube 6 is formed from this composition, and a process for producing a spirally braided yarn hose, wherein the inner tube rubber comprises this composition. |
