PURPOSE:To prevent a constituent member from becoming damaged and recording performance from becoming deteriorated by providing a guide mechanism for regulating the movable range of a recording means so that the recording element of the recording means does not come in contact with the constituent member of the recording device when the recording means is installed on an attachment part. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 9 is attached to a carrier. The contact part 906a of the recording head 9 comes in contact with the ramming part 601 of the carrier, and is energized by a coil spring 607 through a hook 603. At the same time, a substrate 906d is maintained in contact with a ramming part 601f. On the other hand, a cap 51 with a rib 51 is set in place on an unillustrated discharge aperture train. In this case, the attachment route of the recording head 9 is regulated by a guide member 8 so that the discharge aperture part of the recording head 9 does not come in contact with the carrier 51 when the recording head 9 is attached to the carrier. That is, the guide member 8 is rammed to the front lateral surface of the recording head 9 so as not to allow the recording head 9 to advance toward the cap side. |
