<p>PURPOSE:To improve dust collection efficiency, and at the same time, ensure long life at low cost by forming at least one of electrodes in a foam metal carrying a deodorant metal complex, in an air purifier designed to sandwich a filter in the form of an electret between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:This air purifier consists of a pleated fiber cloth filter 2 in the form of an electret and air-permeable electrodes which sandwich the filter 2. At least, one of the electrodes is formed using a foamed metal carrying a deodorant metal complex. That is, one of the paired electrodes is an electrode 3 with a deodorizing function. Thus, the dust collection efficiency improves due to the reduction of a pressure loss consequent to the elimination of an independent deodorizing part and thereby to the narrowing of a gap between the electrodes. Further, the deodorizing speed becomes high, so that the long life of the device is ensured.</p> |
