<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the golf club head which can increase a spin quantity and can stop a ball by forming the hitting face of the head of copper. CONSTITUTION:The head body 1 is formed of, for example, stainless steel or iron by casting or forging and a recessed part 2 is previously formed in the face part. A face material 3 consisting of copper is inserted into this recessed part 2. The head body 1 is otherwise formed of a synthetic resin material, such as carbon fibers and a metallic material is used for the sole. The face material 3 consisting of the copper is mounted to the face part and the head body 1 is made of the stainless steel or iron by casting or forging. A copper plating may then be applied at, for example, about 10 to 12mum on the face part. As a result, the spin quantity of particularly the short iron club increases and the ball stops well.</p> |
