INTERMITTENT RECEIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent receiving method which can suppress depletion of a battery even in environment wherein noise in a reception frequency band is large. SOLUTION: This intermittent receiving method of a receiver is equipped with a function of monitoring a transmission signal sent from a transmitter repeatedly and irregularly by intermittently repeating receiving operation and a function of changing to a continuous reception state from the intermittent reception state once detecting the above transmit signal to fetches data sent from the transmitter. When the level of the signal received by the receiver exceeds a threshold, a shift from the intermittent reception state to the continuous reception state is made and an intermittent detection comprising two stages of a carrier detecting for deciding whether or not there is a signal having a level above a 1st threshold and an data detecting for deciding whether or not there is a signal having a level above a 2nd threshold among signals detected through the carrier detecting is performed; when it is decided that the absence of a signal is detected successively above a specific number of times in the data detecting carried out in the intermittent reception state of the 2nd stage, the 1st threshold is increased.
