<p>The object of the invention is a locking wedge for a motor vehicle door lock or the like with a wedge support plate (2) to be fixedly attached to a carrier metal sheet (1) and a wedge element (3) mounted on the wedge support plate (2), said wedge element engaging when assembled to operate with a latch bolt (4) of the motor vehicle door lock or the like, and optionally with an elastomer arrangement (5). For improved adaptation to the various requirements during normal operation and during a crash, provision is therefore made for the wedge element (3) to be supported to move relatively to a certain extent to the wedge support plate (2) when assembled. It is particularly important that the locking wedge is dynamic, i.e. the wedge element (3) is mounted on the wedge support plate (2) at two bearing points at a distance from each other, the wedge element (3) can be pivoted about an axis perpendicular to the wedge support plate at the one bearing point with rear leg (12) and can be shifted at the other bearing point with a front leg (13), in a corresponding curved track (14).</p> |
