PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method where halftone density can be simply stabilized in a short time, at high preci sion, without generating any ozone. SOLUTION: In the method, voltage applied to a contact electrifying means 2 is changed over by the control of electrifying potential at a specified interval, a reference toner pattern for adjustment of halftone density is produced the reflection density of the reference toner pattern for adjustment of halftone density is detected by a sensor 16 and a writing condition for the halftone is adjusted by varying the image writing optical quantity for a specified quantity based on the detected output. |
