PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently adjust an image line sensor read start time. SOLUTION: In the control part, a carrier roller 5 driven by a carrier motor 10 carries a reference medium, an image sensor drive circuit 8 drives an image line sensor 1 just after an image read start sensor 2 detects the tip of the reference medium, and the output data of the image line sensor are expanded in an image buffer 4 through an image sensor input circuit 9. After that, the black image line number Z is counted from the head line of the image buffer 4 until the tip edge of the reference medium. Subtracting a black image line number Y required to detect the tip edge of the reference medium in image data from the black image line number Z, a line number X is obtained to calculate the image line sensor read start time after the detection of the tip edge of the reference medium, which is stored as a soft parameter. |
