PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film excellent in impact resistance, useful for laminating and processing to metal plates, enabling to produce metal cans, such as drink cans or food cans, excellent in moldability, heat resistance, retort resistance and retainability for smells and tastes. SOLUTION: This polyester film for laminating and processing to metals is obtained by laminating (A) an isophthalic acid-modified polyester layer having a melting point of 210-245 deg.C to (B) a polyester composition layer comprising (I) 99-50 wt.% of a copolyester having a melting point of 210-245 deg.C and containing ethylene terephthalate units as main repeating units and (II) 1-50 wt.% of a polyester having a melting point of 180-223 deg.C and containing butylene terephthalate units as main repeating units (preferably polybutylene terephthalate copolymerized with 5-40 wt.% of adipic acid). Therein, the polyester film has the maximum peak temperature of loss modulus in a range of 50 deg.C to 85 deg.C. |
