A device for joining wooden parts, especially wooden beams, by means of nail plates or the like has a table (1) with a support surface (4), on which the wooden parts are placed for producing the joint, and a press (7) for joining the wooden parts to the nail plates. The table (1) and a marking means (10) with which mark can be applied to the support surface (4) of the table (1) can be moved relative to one another. Using the marking means (10) the location of the beams and nail plates on the support surface (4) of the table (1) can be scribed; this can be done very quickly because the data of the structure to be produced are usually available anyway in computer-readable form, since structures are recently being designed entirely on the computer.
