The seat (1) has a seat frame (2) with moveable four-bar mechanism (4,6,8,10). A seat carrier (12) is fastened to the mechanism at a point (Q) outside its corner points (A,B,C,D) and outside the connection lines between the corner points. The seat carrier is linked to a rocker arm (8), which forms of the mechanism. The inclination of the seat carrier relative to the mechanism changes during height adjustment of the seat.
