An electrode transport and storage assembly(1) consists of a sheath into which at least the sensitive part(4) of the electrode(2) projects to form a chamber(14) holding a liquid between the electrode and the sheath. The novelty is that the sheath is a rigid housing (3) joined to the electrode (2) from which it is separated by a sealing ring(16).
