PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image scarcely dazzling on a bright screen by setting turbidity of a recording medium having an air gap type ink absorbing layer to a specific range. SOLUTION: The recording medium 2 is formed by carrying out a corona discharging on both surface of a support 3 of a polyester base colored in blue of a visible ray density of 0.12 and having a thickness of 175 nm and forming an air gap type ink absorbing layer 4 on one surface of the support 3. In the case of an actual X-ray diagnosis, a sheet-like recording medium having an image formed on a transparent support is engaged with a light box called a film viewer, and a transmitted light image is observed. In the case of a monochromatic image to be observed by the transmitted light in the viewer, if turbidity of the medium is a predetermined value or above, its glariness can be alleviated. If the turbidity is excessively high, an attenuation of the transmitted light amount excessively takes place, and hence the medium is scarcely observed. Accordingly, the turbidity of the monochromatic ink jet recording medium is preferably 10-90%, and more preferably 15-80%. |
