PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording material which has a clear printability and where the fixation of a water-soluble pigment ink is good, a printed-out image does not disappear, an adhesive layer is not required to be provided, the adhesion between a base and an ink receiving layer is excellent, the ink receiving layer does not separate from the base, and the ink receiving layer has an excellent water-resistance. SOLUTION: In this recording material where an ink receiving layer is provided on a base, the ink receiving layer is formed from an application liquid comprising (A) an acryl resin emulsion, (B) polyvinyl alcohol, (C) silica and (D) a melamine crosslinking agent. The weight ratio of the solid component in the component (A) to the component (C) is 1:9-4:6, and the weight ratio of the total amount of solid component in the component (A) and the component (B) to the component (D) is 100:1-5:1. The content of the component (B) lies in a range of 5-15 pts by weight based on 100 pts by weight of the whole solid components. |
