PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building structural material having a fire protecting property, fire resistance, strength not reduced at a high temperature, and high safety. SOLUTION: This building structural material 10 is constituted of an aluminum hollow extruded shape 1 having one or multiple inner expanded grooves 3 extending in the longitudinal direction on the outer faces, and ceramic fire- resistant materials 2 fitted into the inner expanded grooves 3 to be nearly flush with the outer faces of the hollow extruded shape 1. The ceramic fire- resistant materials 2 preferably occupy the area of 70-95% of the outer faces of the aluminum hollow extruded shape 1.
