PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably dissolve a polyketone, obtain a polyketone dope excellent in solvent recovery and capable of wet spinning by a simple spinning apparatus, provide a method for producing a fiber and provide the fiber obtained by the method. SOLUTION: In a polyketone dope in which the polyketone is an alternate copolymer having >=90% wt.% of repeating unit of carbon monooxide and an olefin, the solvent is specifically an aqueous solution containing at least one salt selected from a group comprising calcium bromide, calcium iodide, a thiocyanate, iron (III) chloride and iron (III) bromide.
