PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use circulating air for moving a cage by providing a pair of slender vertical tubular cylindrical shafts having a closed end part and being almost equal in the volume, and providing horizontal directional crossing shafts extending between these shafts in the upper end part vicinity and the lower end part vicinity of the vertical shafts. SOLUTION: Cylindrical two slender vertical shafts 14, 16 extending up to the upper end part vicinity from a base part 18 are housed in a core 8. The shafts 14, 16 have a plane-like bottom surface 17 installed on the base part 18 and an upper end part closed by a domed cap 20. A crossing shaft 22 for housing a fan 24 is extended between the shafts 14, 16 in the upper end part vicinity, and a crossing shaft 26 for housing a fan 28 is extended between the shafts 14, 16 in the lower end part vicinity. A pneumatic elevator assembly of this constitution can move a cage in the main shaft 14 by pressure differential between cage upper/lower parts by a movement of air between the shafts 14, 16 via the crossing shafts 22, 26.
