PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact rotating tool capable of carrying out fastening work by specified fastening torque. SOLUTION: An impact rotating tool is furnished with astroke of an output shaft 5 by a hammer 3, a waveform forming circuit 10 to transmit pulse signals in the number in accordance with an angle of rotation of the output shaft 5, a counter 13 to count the number of the pulse signals transmitted from the waveform forming circuit 10, a rotating speed computing part 15 to compute rotating speed of the output shaft 5, a rotation angle between strokes computing part 16 to compute the angle of rotation at which the output shaft 5 rotates during the time when the output shaft 5 is previously stroked and then stroked next from a count value of the counter 13 and a torque computing part 17. Consequently, a motor 1 is stopped when fastening torque becomes more than a specified value by computing energy applied on the output shaft 5 from the rotating speed and computing fastening torque by dividing the energy by the computed angle of rotation of the rotation angle between strokes computing part 16.
