PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation displacement terminal which can maintain and form an interval of an insulation displacement edge for arranging an electric wire with high precision, and a restrictions on a design about the configuration of the insulation displacement edge is few. SOLUTION: The insulation displacement terminal 10 which has a sole plate 11, a side plate 12, and a top plate 19, has a connection section which is connected with other terminal, an insulation displacement section to which the insulation displacement of an electric wire is carried out, and a holding section which is formed in a vicinity of the insulation displacement section to hold the electric wire. Two or more insulation displacement edges 11c and 16a which have slots 11d and 16b in which a conductor of the electric wire is formed in the insulation displacement section by extending from the sole plate 11 and the side plate 12, are formed.
