PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor by which a specified pattern can be highly precisely detected at a high speed and whose configuration is simplified. SOLUTION: The image processor for detecting the specified pattern contained in an image has a binarizing means for binarizing image data and a partial detecting means for detecting a partial image in one part of the specified pattern by comparing a detection target contained in the image data binarized by the binarizing means with a reference image and in the case of comparing the detection target with the reference image. The partial image detecting means evaluates the detection target successively by plural partial areas comprising the reference image. Only when the data of the detection target corresponding to the respective partial areas satisfy prescribed conditions, only concerning the next partial area, the detection target is evaluated.
