BOOKMARK SYSTEM, DOCUMENT PROPOSAL METHOD USING BOOKMARK AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a new document along a user's interest area with the resource defined as an object on the Internet. SOLUTION: The bookmark information on each user is unitarily managed by a bookmark server 1. The user can perform a bookmark operation to a user bookmark DB 14 from a client device 2 via a bookmark operation part 11. The server 1 extracts the preference information for each sorting folder by using periodically a user preference extraction part 12 and according to the bookmark information in each user stored in the DB 14. A new document proposal part 13 registers an appropriate new document on the DB 14 as a part of user bookmark from the retrieval result obtained for a directory server on the Internet 0 or a document set 3 given from another outside part in response to the preference information on each user's sorting folder.
