PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image forming method capable of forming a virtual endoscopic good-quality image at a high speed without taking labor for setting various parameters. SOLUTION: This method forms a three-dimensional image on a plane of projection by projecting a voxel value in volume data in a radial shape by ray casting, and can select (1) a mode of respectively projecting a maximum voxel value running along the respective rays in the ray casting on the plane of projection, (2) a mode of respectively projecting a minimum voxel value running along the respective rays in the ray casing on the plane of projection, (3) a mode of respectively projecting an addition value of a voxel value running along the respective rays in the ray casting on the plane of projection, and (4) a mode of respectively projecting an average value of the voxel value running along the respective rays in the ray casting on the plane of projection. |
