PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for plant cultivation capable of stably feeding water throughout the surface thereof even if set on a sloping place, therefore simultaneously breeding a plant on the whole surface thereof in the early stage. SOLUTION: This base 18, 24 is such that a blend of plant seedlings 20 and a water-holding material such as a highly water-absorbing polymer 22 is fixed on the overall surface thereof, therefore when set on a sloping place such as a perpendicular wall surface, enables the plant seedlings 20 to be fixed with and stably fed with water through the water-holding material to effect simultaneously growing and closely breeding the plant 20 in the early stage in a short time throughout the surface.
