PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysaccharide granular polymer formed with bonded phthalocyanine frame, and a method for producing it. SOLUTION: The polysaccharide granular polymer formed with bonded phthalocyanine is a cross-linked polymer having a phthalocyanine frame covalent-bonded with granular porous chitosan after cross-linking treatment. This is used as an adsorbent, whereby a polycyclic organic material included in a solution can be selectively adsorbed, desorbed or separated. The polysaccharide granular polymer formed with bonded phthalocyanine has excellent adsorption capability to polycyclic organic materials, and also excellent desorption capability to the adsorbed polycyclic organic materials. Accordingly, this cross-linked polymer is particularly useful for selective adsorption, desorption, concentration and separation of a polycyclic organic substance present in a trace amount in the environment, a food, an article of taste, a biological sample, etc., for example, a mutagen, and can be extensively used for qualitative or quantitative determination of the mutgen, or removal thereof.
