PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope supporting device of an elevator capable of reducing bending moment acting on a guide rail. SOLUTION: A columnlike body 33 is attached to the guide rail 31 through first and second fulcrum bodies 41, 42 provided in its both upper and lower end parts. A rope end fixing member 37 is fixed to the columnlike body 33 by welding. End parts of a plurality of ropes 16 are fixed to the rope end fixing member 37 through fastening devices 19, respectively. The first fulcrum body 41 transmits only load in the vertical direction to an axis C of the guide rail 31 to the guide rail 31.
