<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion system for vehicles that is adapted to suppress the high-frequency leakage currents flowing via a parasitic capacitor that is parasitic within the electric power conversion system for vehicles. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power conversion system for vehicles comprises a power conversion circuit 1, consisting of semiconductor switches, a main circuit wiring (plus power supply) 7, a main circuit wiring (negative power supply) 8 connected to the power conversion circuit via a disconnecting switch 4, a short-circuiting switch 3, a smoothing capacitor (with a conductive case that is conductive) 2 for smoothing DC input voltage of the power conversion circuit, and a ground cable 5 for establishing connection between a housing 9 of the electric power conversion system and a car body 6. In an electric power conversion system for vehicles outfitted on a car body, a smoothing capacitor is arranged on an insulator 500, an insulation is established between the smoothing capacitor and the housing, and a connection is established between the smoothing capacitor and the housing via a resistor 50, as well; and furthermore, a connection is established between the negative side of the disconnecting switch and the housing via a resistor 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
